Oh hey me! (on the right)
So, here I am with my first blog post. I moved back to Canberra from London four months ago, and as I’m still lacking any kind of job, I’ve decided blogging is totally where I’m at right now. It seems like a legit pursuit, and, if successful, will (hopefully) help me get to where ever I’m trying to get to.
With that in mind, I think it’s best to lay out exactly what I plan to use this blog for, and what it should do for me. List time! *air punch*
- First and foremost, I want to use blogging as a kind of directional diary, to organise things I love, things I’m good at and things I’m interested in, into some kind of cohesive inspiration board that I can use to stay focused and productive.
- Secondly, I want to increase my confidence in writing and editing, and be able to use my blog to show off to potential employers or collaborators how goddamn creativefunnysmartproductive I am.
- Lastly I want this blog to be fun! I want to enjoy producing it, and I (eventually) want people to enjoy reading it.
They’re some fairly achievable ground rules, so in conclusion, I’m Lauren and here’s my blog Mum look!
